OT: So upset!!!!!!!!

My best friend just IMed me and told me David has a girlfriend!!!! (David is the guy I like). I can't tell if my friend made that up(she does that a lot) or if it's the truth. I am so devestated that David has a girlfriend! I want to do something really bad to David!

STOP! Breathe! Don't do anything. What if your "friend" isn't telling the truth, then you do something mean to David, then he doesn't like you. I never take the word of someone who I know has lied in the past to be the truth. Did she say who the girl was? Could you ask that girl- real casual like, "So, I hear you and David are going out." Or even ask David, you guys are friends, right? Just say to him tomorrow, "I heard that you and so and so are going out now." If he says yes, say, "Oh, she's a nice girl," or something like that. Or he could say, "Why do you care?" or he could say, "No, where'd you hear that?" Either way, it's an opportunity to talk to him, and figure out what's going on.

My friend did give me the name of a girl but she could be making it up. I hope this isn't her idea of a joke, because it isn't funny!! I guess in my own little paradise world David would like me and we would go out. [img]smile.gif[/img]
Edit: My friend forgot to mention it to me until today, she actually overheard it almost a month ago. Assuming it's true, I shouldn't still be mad because there is a slight chance that David and Lindsay don't like each other as much as they thought they did.

That's horrible! [img]frown.gif[/img] I know how much you liked that guy. Did you ask you're friend if she was lying or not? If she isn't don't be mean to David because they may break up and he might be free to have another girlfriend but he might not want to be your boyfriend now because you were being mean to him. Try to act friendly and maybe become friends with him or something. If she was lying first of all kill your friend! (just kidding don't do that!) and now you were being sad over nothing.
Relax! She might be lying! And boys aren't everything.....

I asked my friend if she was sure, and she said she was, she knew David had atleast one girlfriend.

I think she meant David has had atleast one girlfriend since I started liking him over a year ago. If that's not what she meant, then I am definitely going to forget about David.
